Dead Seas
Installation / pieces are part of a series of works forming groups of objects
size: 120 x 90 cm, 180 x 110 cm, 265 x 126 cm
materials: recycled pine cellulose, natural minerals, mixed media
technique: handmade paper, own technique

Work on this project is in progress.

The compositions of the objects relate to the archaeological site, a necropolis of various sizes.
The objects are subject to substantial degradation over time and under the influence of external conditions.
During exhibitions, I try to repair them, after which they decay again.

The 'Dead Seas' series addresses contemporary attitudes towards dying process and death itself.
The artworks portray amorphous marks that serve as a reminder of someone's presence.
I attempt to demystify 'death' subject. I try to encourage open discussions about the process of dying and its significance.
